Year 7 Hockey Season 2009

Training Times

Tuesday:	3.30- 4.30 Ð	Montgomery Oval
Thursday:	3.30-4.30 -	Montgomery Oval

Note : Training begins on Tuesday April 21st

Uniform

Full sport uniform is required for training, this should include:

• Hockey stick
• Mouthguard (boys cannot train or play without a mouthguard)
• Shin guards
• Water bottle (boys must not share water bottles).
• The hockey uniform will be required for the first week of interschool games.

This can be purchased at Dobson’s, Bob Stewarts or the Scotch College Swap Shop. Blue shorts, Scotch Socks and a regulation hockey top are required.

Hockey Equipment can be purchased at Just Hockey, 279 Burke Road Glen Iris, Phone 98857050.

Games

• The first game will be held on Saturday May 2nd at times to be advised.
• Fixtures are published on the school web site at www.scotch.vic.edu.au and will also be published on Learning Point. Fixtures should be checked on a weekly basis.
• Games are at a variety of venues and may be on a grass surface.
• Boys will be expected to be available for their games on Saturdays and a note in the record book will be required to explain any absences.
• Teams will be posted on the Year 7 noticeboard by Thursday lunchtimes.
• Boys are encouraged to improve their skills throughout the season and there will be movement between the teams where appropriate.
• Families will be rostered to provide oranges or snakes for half time during the season.

Note: If boys are at school on a Tuesday or Thursday they are expected to attend trainings sessions after school unless a note is provided in the Student Record Book.
