David Crawford’s credentials for leadership of the Council are second to none. At School he was a Prefect and a Scout Troop Leader, and a member of the First XI and First XVIII. An accountant, he is a former partner and National Chairman of professional services firm KPMG, and is currently Chairman of the Australian Ballet and Treasurer of the Melbourne Cricket Club. David is also Chairman of Lend Lease Corporation, a member of the advisory board of Allens Arthur Robinson, and a director of Westpac Banking Corporation, BHP Billiton and Foster’s Group.
As well, he is a former Council member of the University of Melbourne and past Chairman of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, and of Generation Victoria, the company created to take control of and operate coal mines, power stations and other associated facilities as part of the restructuring of the Victorian electricity industry.
David has been a Scotch College Council member since 1991, Vice-Chairman since 2003, and is a member of the Council’s Executive, Investment, Nominating and Remuneration Committees. He is a past Scotch parent.
