At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Old Scotch Collegians’ Association a new OSCA Council was elected:
Richard Beveridge (’62) OSCA portfolio: President.
Responsibilities: Marketing and Communication/Pavers Program development. OSCA Council member since 2002; Vice-President, 2006. Company director and consultant marketing researcher; founder/director of Research Advisory and The Beveridge Research Partnership; Director of Research – Growth Solutions Group; Director of Hendersons Estate Pty Ltd. Past parent (Tim ’93) and one of nine Beveridges who have attended Scotch.
John Jeffreys (’69) Vice President. OSCA portfolio: Events.
International Manager with Yarris Pty Ltd. Father and son also attended Scotch. Secretary of The Lord’s Taverners, a cricket charity assisting those less fortunate, as well as active in a number of other charities. Interests: travel, sport.
David Tyrrell (’79) Vice President. OSCA portfolio: Treasurer.

Andrew Wallace-Smith (’72) Immediate Past President. OSCA portfolio: Services.
OSCA Council member since 2000. Managing Director, Helder Distributors Pty Ltd. Two sons attended Scotch, Nick (’01) and Alex (’03); two brothers attended Scotch. Member and former President of Koomerang Ski Club; member and sponsor of Old Scotch Football Club.
Alex Sloan (’71) OSCA portfolio: Services, Old Scotch Heritage Club and Centenary Celebrations.
Chairman, Rowena Foods Pty Ltd; Managing Director and CEO, Betta Foods Australia Pty Ltd. There has been a Sloan family connection with Scotch for over 100 years; Alex’s grandfather (A.B. Sloan) coached 20 Scotch 1st VIII crews, winning the Head of the River seven times. His uncle (A.F. Sloan, ’24) was a highly decorated student and later a teacher at the School, while his father Bruce (’32) and son Simon (’04) also attended Scotch. Interests: family time with wife, Karen Wood, and two children, Stephanie and Simon.
Bob Welch (’66)

General manager/proprietor of importing and wholesaling company. Member of the Old Scotch Heritage, Cardinal, Wine and Food, Bushwalking and Football Clubs. Son in Year 8. Interests: sport, wine and bushwalking.

Second year Arts/Law student at Melbourne University. Treasurer, Melbourne University Arts Students’ Society; President, Old Scotch Music Club. Interests: music, cooking, travel.

Completed an IT degree and worked in the IT sector for a number of years; now working on a new business venture, Tiedup.com.au, while also working in his family business in sales and operations with brother Henry (’94). Interests: tennis, basketball, snowboarding.
