The Alexander Morrison Circle (AMC) continues to widen its circle of connection, by linking members of the Scotch Family who have made a commitment to leave a bequest to the School.
The Bequest Planning Committee, chaired by Brian Randall (’51), has given tremendous support throughout the year, helping to develop a strategic plan for the Bequest Program. The AMC now has a link with all facets of the Scotch Family, including OSCA, and an OSCA Council member now sits on the Planning Committee.
Our October luncheon was an opportunity for the newly formed Christina Morrison Circle of women to be acknowledged, along with new members of the AMC (see the article about the Christina Morrison Circle on page 53). Karen Inge, our guest speaker, gave us an enlightening tour through the world of food and nutrition.
We have indeed been fortunate to have the Zig Inge Group, the National Australia Bank and Bell Potter Securities as sponsors of our functions this year. The Zig Inge Group has also generously sponsored our Personal Affairs Booklet, which has been distributed to all members of the AMC.
The first 12 months in the life of the Bequest Coordinator have been busy but rewarding, in so many ways. My grateful thanks go to the wonderful Bequest Committee members: Brian Randall, Scotty Macleish (’46), Keith Weymouth (’44), Geoff Bowden (’46), Pam Marshall and Neil Roberts. Many thanks also to Cynthia Richards, Barbara Bruce and Di Senior who, along with Pam and Neil, are playing an important role in laying the foundations of the Christina Morrison Circle.
