Old Scotch Girls - yes, you've read that correctly

A hundred years ago, Scotch was cramped into a single hectare in East Melbourne. The Principal, Littlejohn, sought extra classrooms, for example by hiring rooms in a nearby convent, and he also leased a small school in Parkville. It was run by a Miss Gilchrist and then by a Miss Macmillan, and its pupils included girls as well as boys.

This Parkville High School, as it was sometimes called, was run by Scotch for the four years from 1915 to 1918, and as its boys count as Old Boys so the girls, too, warrant being treated as Old Scotch Collegians.

We know little about these girls, however, not least because most of them will have spent their lives under married names.
