On the way: best facilities in the VAFA for Old Scotch

The City of Boroondara has announced a $900,000 refurbishment of the Camberwell Sportsground pavilion, to commence in November of this year. When the works are completed – expected to be in June 2007 – the Old Scotch Football Club will have some of the best facilities in the VAFA competition.

The works include:

• refurbishment of the home team changing rooms
• a new gym and sports science facilities
• new medical room facilities
• new opposition rooms within the main pavilion
• new umpires’ rooms
• new public toilets
• a new clubroom entrance
• a new viewing deck in front of the pavilion

The club has invested $30,000 this season into a much-needed refurbishment of the social rooms at the Camberwell Sportsground. Features include new carpet, painting, a new ceiling, enhanced lighting, new tables and chairs, sophisticated AV equipment and a Jetmaster heater. The upgraded facilities have been well received by club members and visitors this season.

The Old Scotch Football Club needs to raise $125,000 to complete this refurbishment and other initiatives, such as new coaching boxes, a new scoreboard and netting behind the goals.
