Scotch College

Grade 2

Year 2 are now the leaders of the Junior Primary. As leaders of this area of the School, they were challenged to share what they felt were the special characteristics of their School. They were asked: ‘why is Scotch College special?’

Grade 2   Grade 2

‘Lots of children go there to learn, and there are 24 boys in each class, so there are plenty of boys there to help each other.’

‘I now go to the same School that my dad went to.’

‘It’s very clean and neat and everyone is nice to each other.’

‘The School is in order and everything is looked after.’

‘It’s got classes from Prep to Year 12, so we don’t have to change Schools along the way.’

‘The School is cheerful because the boys are all happy.’

‘Everyone is gentle, which makes it nicer to come to School.’

‘You get a turn at everything in every grade, and no one misses out.’

‘You learn very quickly: I learn at least one new thing every day.’

‘Everyone is safe here.’

‘It is a fun School, because you learn so many new facts.’

‘The library is fantastic and I like reading.’

‘It is a really happy place!’

‘There are lots of people to look after me, and there is a great playground for us to go on.’

‘I can learn things here, and I like the fact that it’s always clean.’

‘It’s pretty old and it is still here. Also my brother is in Year 4 and my little brother will start in Prep next year. My dad also went here with Angus Ritchie’s dad.’

‘We have nice teachers here and the playground is great. During class time we learn a lot, and at the moment we are learning all about water.’
