Members of the Class of 2008 will leave their own unique mark on the School through their academic, cultural and sporting achievements. They will also leave a permanent mark on the School through their generous support of the Callantina and Glenferrie Road Gates project – a project which aims to install replica gates at this prominent and exposed entry point of the School.
The Class of 2008 will contribute $13,500 towards this project, bringing funds raised to date to $40,000. The School Property Committee has put this project on hold until sufficient funds have been raised to bring it to fruition, and until some logistical issues have been addressed.
The Class of 2008 will also leave a significant mark on the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. In recognition of the staunch support that the centre provided to Year 12 student Matt Pierri, the Class of 2008 committee was dedicated to sharing proceeds raised with the Royal Talbot Centre.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Class of 2008 for supporting those worthwhile causes. They represented the year level with distinction. GS
