Archives volunteers—you can help

The school archives acquire and maintain our records, collections, life stories and memorabilia.

Volunteers are welcome, and as there is a great variety of work to be done, we feel sure we can find a task you will enjoy.

For example, Scotty Macleish (’46) handles the large amount of filing that goes under Topics. This spreads across 18 compactus bays and the contents are often fascinating, ranging through … badminton, badges, bags, Baskerville Bible, basketball, birds, … Dance (School), dancing, Davidson House, debating, … war cries, war memorials, … sailing, Saint Kilda Scotch College, … Xavier, Xmas cards, yachting, Yarra, … .

Or, just to look at one letter more thoroughly: paintings, parents, Parkville High School, pavers, Peer Support program, pencils, Photographic Club, philanthropy, Physics, Pipes & Drums, piccolo, polio, prayers, prefects, prefects books, Presbyterian Church, …

The list is ever-growing, and deciding what to put where is often thought provoking.
