New Library website up and running

After several months of work, the new Library website is now up and running. The best features of the earlier multiple international award-winning website (left) have been retained, and many new ones have been added.

The key features of this new design include enabling us to make changes to the site very readily, and making it ready for interaction with mobile devices. This means that the website will always be up to date and contain current information about what is going on in the Library. Users will easily be able to view the site on their mobile devices anywhere, at any time. If you use an iPhone, iPad, iPad Touch, Android, Blackberry or other web-ready hand-held device, the Library website can automatically sense your device and serve up a version of the website formatted to fit it.

We are pleased to be at the forefront of library-related technical innovation, and have already received praise from users who are enjoying our mobile-friendly approach.

In recent years the Scotch Library website has won the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL) School Library Technology Innovation Award, and the IASL/Concord Web Page of the Year Award. GS
