The hockey club having a wonderful season. We currently have ten senior mens' teams, two mens' veterans teams, six womens' teams and in excess of thirty junior teams.
We are consolidating our place in the top division, State League 1 and our second side is in Pennant A. At the closing stage of the season the firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths and sixths are finals contenders.
Charles Feddersen ('98) is coaching the school firsts team this year and his brother John Feddersen ('00) was selected in the U21 Victoria Colts Team. We also have a number of junior State representatives in the club.
The club recently honoured Neil Duncan ('52) by appointing him a life member.
Neil captained the club and played for Victoria from 1958 to 1964. Neil also represented Australia in 1963.
Andrew Hodder ('87) has captained the State League team for the last few years and considers that this year's team is most capable of taking out the State League 1 flag for the first time in over twenty years.
Recently the seventy-five year history of the club was released. Limited copies are still available and I wish to acknowledge the great work carried out by the history team headed up by the late Bruce McClean ('53) and his son Andrew ('78).

The tennis night was held at Kooyong on 25 May, and was well attended by thirty energetic sons and thirty running fathers to match.
The night was organised by Don McClean ('52) pictured above, a veteran member of the Old Scotch Tennis Club, his wife Sue, and another veteran Neil Scott ('54), who were kept very busy organising the draw. The inaugural winners and overall best father and son team 2001 were Oliver (Year 5) and Greville Hay, whom we trust will be available to challenge next year. Sectional winners were Andrew Sandbach (Year 4) and his Godfather Michael Pryse ('75); Sebastian Woodard (Year 4) and Peter ('73), Oliver (Year 5) and Greville Hay, pictured above, Luke Dawson (Year 5) and Peter.
The OS Tennis Club sponsored the event, assisting with the supply of tennis balls, and the trophies and enthusiasm were self-funded. The response to this night from available 'Tennisees' was encouraging. The enthusiasm sufficient to say we should do it again.
