On the 23 May, the Club assisted our long serving member Don McLean to conduct the annual father and son tennis night at Kooyong. Forty pairs of slow dads and ultra light sons battled throughout the night to achieve the following section winners:-
Henry Dick, Year 6 (and David)
John Meadows, Year 5 (and Paul)
David Holland, Year 5 (and Chris)
William Hamer, Year 4 (and Andrew)
Congratulations to the eventual winners, the Holland family.
Our President, Colin Simpson, presented the trophies and extended a warm invitation to any of the fathers to join Saturday afternoon Social or Competitive tennis.
The Past Student Tennis Association Winter competition commenced after Easter. We have entered five teams this year with all teams doing well as we approach mid-season.
The Club provided sportsmanship award trophies to all 25 School Teams at the end of first term. Colin Simpson, recently attended the School Assembly to present trophies to the Senior and Junior School singles and doubles Champions.
The Annual PSTA John Hill Tournament was held in April at the School. There was a good attendance from all Past Student Clubs in the Association with the competition split into three sections. Lachie MacKinnon and Neil Scott won Section 3.
The Club and the PSTA wish to thank the Bib Stillwell BMW organisation for sponsoring this event.
