With the season well underway since mid-November we had a resounding win over the MCC by 53 shots, as well as accounting for Old Wesley by 25.
However, we lost to the East Malvern RSL by 16, and also to a very strong MHSOB Combination by 45. In the return game against the MCC we went down by only 7 shots.
However we retained the Leighton Trophy, which is our yearly game played against the West Brighton Club. Our team consisted of 19 members who thoroughly enjoyed this special day. Fifteen members played against West Brighton, which we won by scoring 69 shots to their 42.
As usual our next big event is the Public School Old Bowls Tournament to be played at Kew Heights on Sunday March 24, 2002 and we wish our four rinks the very best.
