This yearÕs Australia Day Honours list saw five Old Scotch Collegians and a former member of staff recognised for their work in a variety of fields.

Robin Hamilton SYME AM (Õ52) Toorak. Victoria. For service to the community as a contributor to a range of organisations involved in the provision of health, welfare and aged care services.

Geoffrey Campbell McCOMAS AM Hon DLitt (Õ69) Canterbury. Victoria. For service to the entertainment industry as a speaker, actor and broadcaster, and to the community for fundraising for charitable organisations.

William Bruce CHAMBERS OAM (Õ49) Rutherglen. Victoria. For service to the wine industry as a wine maker and judge.

Professor Andrew Bruce HOLMES AM (Õ61) Cambridge. England. For service to science through research and development, particularly in the fields of organic synthesis and polymer chemistry.
