That is the catchcry for Old Scotch Football Club in 2001. After being in the top four for the majority of the season, we dropped the last four games of the season (to the eventual finalists), to miss our goal of competing in the A section finals series. A lot has gone on in the offseason to ensure we make the finals in 2001.
Brendan Mason has been re-appointed as Senior Coach and will continue his theme of 'Building a Reputation'. Two hundred and ninety-nine game veteran, Andrew Smith, will be his Assistant. Gary Jackson will again coach the reserves, who hope to go one step further and win a premiership. Terry Kendall has been appointed coach of the new 'Under 23', team which will in essence replace the old Warriors' concept. This has occurred to ensure that we can provide a team for all players who mature out of the Under 19 section of the Club. A new Under 19s coach will be announced shortly. We also plan to include an Under 17 team in the Moorabbin Saints Sunday competition next year.
Pre-season training has already commenced on the school grounds, with many new (and old!) faces going through their paces. Scott Crow (ex Collingwood and Hawthorn) has joined the Club and will be a terrific acquisition. A big welcome to him and all other recruits, and a big thank you to the school for allowing us to use the facilities which are in superb condition.
Please support us in 2001 by taking out a membership, by becoming a sponsor or by barracking on the terraces at The Camberwell Sportsground.
