Tuesday October 29, heralded the achievement of another milestone for OSCA and the OSCAnet team.
An official launch function was held in the magnificent Lithgow Centre at the School, involving a detailed presentation and demonstration of the site, as well as light refreshments to thank all of those who have contributed to the site's development.
OSCA's Executive Director, Tim Shearer, gave a warm welcome to guests, who included Dr Gordon Donaldson (Principal), Neil Roberts (Bursar), Michael Robinson (Chairman, School Council), Rob Logie-Smith (Past President, OSCA Council), School Council members, OSCA Council members, key staff, representatives from most Affiliated Societies, and Old Boys who are tapped in to networks with other Old Boys.
The Project Leader from OSCAnet's inception, Mr John Craven, spoke about the background that led to the development of the project. He also mentioned the primary purposes that instigated its development - i.e. facilitating the 'network', and setting up a Mentoring program to benefit as many Old Boys as possible.
OSCA's Alumni Network Manager, Rowan Crosbie-Goold, then spoke of the features and benefits of the site, before conducting a live demonstration to show how easy it is to use.
He emphasized the importance of all Old Boys getting on and registering.
