The 2002 Golf Day marked the 75th Anniversary of this event, initially won by Lyster G Jackson in 1927 followed by a number of wins by the legendary Ivo Whitton.
Old Scotch Boy, Rick Wines, who won in three successive years from 1993-95, was 3 down off a handicap of 2 this year. Congratulations Rick.
Thirty-seven Old Scotch Collegians played, Ian Addison and John Montgomery finished square on the card and CJ Bailey, Geoff Barnett, Geoff Brash (a winner in 1957) and Peter Bearley all carded scores of 1 up - the next were not so fortunate.
Two hundred and thirty six players contested the day from 11 Public Schools with St Kevin's winning the event.
Scotch will run the event again next year at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club on November 17, 2003 and all Old Scotch Golfers should contact Leanne Craven in the OSCA Office on 9810 4300 for an entry form.
We thank Tim Shearer and Leanne Craven from the OSCA for their very positive help setting up the entries upon receipt and producing the draw spreadsheet. Thanks to the Treasurer, Ray Leggo, who can produce a surplus, which is donated to a deserving charity each year.
