Twenty-two Old Boys and partners celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the School in perfect weather and with spectacular bay views.
Organiser Peter Hayman ('73) reported that Tom Crow ('50) lit the Relay Torch, and youngest Old Boy present, Max Bulk ('89), extinguished it. The Principal, Dr Gordon Donaldson presented a short video of the 150 Celebratons and highlights, which was enthusiastically received, and OSCA President Rob Logie-Smith ('60) spoke about the exciting projects coming up for the Old Boys. Networking and mentoring through a dedicated website would be a high priority.
There was a strong complement of Old Boys with a technology bent, led by Evan Thornley ('82) and Richard Caro ('73). Other Old Boys and partners who attended included: Mrs Joyce Donaldson, Mrs Sue Logie-Smith, John Wark ('68), Vicki Landa, Tracey Ellery, Greg Wardle ('87), Peter King-Smith ('68), Peter Bartnik ('76), Todd Kelly ('81), Anne Tillinghast, Jane Hayman, Ross Henderson-McBean ('64) and Donna, Richard Gabriel ('64), Murray Purkiss ('81), Andrew Bartley ('74) and Kathleen.Graeme Whitelaw and his wife Harriet welcomed an enthusiastic group of Scotch Family members to the New York dinner held on 5 May at the University Club.
