Scotch College

How things have changed!

The Scotch College Report - December 1914
The New Site

It falls perhaps within the province of the Council, rather than of the Headmaster, to make some reference to the new site. I believe the action of the Council has given unbounded satisfaction to the patrons and the Old Boys of the School.

The area consists of a magnificent block of fifty-two acres, adequate for all needs and for all time. It is readily accessible by three tram services, those of Toorak Road, Riversdale Road and Glenferrie Road, and it is easily reached from the Kooyong and Glenferrie railway stations.

Rowing men will rejoice to know that there is an extensive frontage to the river. Let us hope that the day is not far distant when the new Scotch College will rise in this spacious domain, with buildings both noble and useful; with masters' houses, each the home of thirty boys, dotted over the hill; with a great hall where the boys will meet to worship together and to sing songs of their School and country; with a lofty tower, the gift of some pious benefactor, from which the tones of a deep bell will summon to work and to play
