A new Logo for a new Website - OSCAnet

Boys came back to school in term three to be met with a new challenge. In their first assembly, Mr Ian Savage (Vice-Principal of the School) launched a competition to design a new logo for OSCAnet.

Within days, the OSCA office received dozens of entries from boys from all year levels in the Senior School, and even some interest from a few parents (apologies to those parents, but unless they sit in assembly three times a week and wear a red tie, they don't qualify).

The quality of entries was varied, but there were many finalists that were very difficult to separate. Winners were acknowledged and awarded prizes in assembly, and special congratulations go to Robert Padbury in Year 12, whose outstanding entry met with a unanimous vote from the staff in the Development Office. It features the handshake of connection, the compass of the world and is clearly heading into the future. Robert's design entry is used on much of the materials to do with OSCAnet's marketing and promotion.

Some boys submitted several entries, and all participants must be commended for their efforts. Thanks must also go to the staff members who contributed to this project, in particular to Ian Savage, Christopher Taylor and John Flynn.
