Queen's Birthday Honours to Old Boys

The following Old Boys were recently granted Australian Honours. We thank each of them for their service and congratulate them on their recognition.

Hugh Stretton ('41) AC, Adelaide SA. For service as a historian, social commentator and writer profoundly influencing and shaping ideas in the community on urban policy, town planning and social and economic development

Anthony John Pickering ('57) AM, Darwin, NT. For service to the Real Estate industry and to the community of the Northern Territory through philanthropic support for a range of service, sporting and charitable organizations.

Justice John Spence Winneke ('56) AC AO RFD, Melbourne Victoria. For leadership in the law, to the administration of justice as President of the Victorian Court of Appeal, and to the community.

Dr John Hedley Summons ('47) AM, Camberwell, ictoria. For service to medicine, particularly the advancement of medical education through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Professor Brian Fowell Buxton ('56) AM, Templestowe, Victoria. For medicine, particularly as an adviser on the development of cardiac surgery in Asia and through training programs for overseas surgeons.

Brian Darnton Bayston ('48) OAM, Camberwell, Victoria. For service to service to the community through a range of religious and educational, particularly the Presbyterian Church of Victoria

William Henderson Glen ('36) OAM, Mansfield, Victoria. For service to the Anglican Church of Australia, particularly through the Anglican Defence Force Board and as a diocesan legal counsel.

Professor Andrew Henry Kaye ('67) AM, Parkville, Victoria. For service as a neurosurgeon, particularly in the field of brain tumour therapy, and as a researcher and academic leader

James Cousley Kelso ('46) OAM, Pymble, NSW. For service to the community through a range of motor sport, intage car and educational organization.

Jeffrey Maxwell Lawrence ('48) AM, Wantirna South, Victoria. For service to the community through the programs of Lions Clubs International, particularly the establishment and governance of Lions Eye Bank.
