About

A parent support group for Basketball at Scotch, "The Slam Dunk Club", was founded in July 2003. The aim of the club is to:

• raise the profile of the game at Scotch College through the building of a strong basketball community
• provide opportunity for further development of the players within and outside the school
• open new avenues for communication (website and newsletter)
• support the administration of Scotch Basketball, and
• have some fun!

Basketball is a winter sport at Scotch College and the committee meets every 6 weeks throughout the Basketball season.

Membership

Membership is open to any parent of a present senior school Scotch boy or any other member of the Scotch family interested in supporting basketball at Scotch.

Fundraising

On occasion, the Slam Dunk Club will raise funds to support the activities of basketball at Scotch. Examples of such activities are to finance specialist coaching, teams participating in school's competitions, and tour groups, and to assist visiting players and parents.
