A Responses consistently completed and characterised by depth of thought and attention to detail, revealing an excellent and well developed understanding. Considerable personal engagement in discussion. Listened actively and with empathy and understanding. Encouraged others to express their views. Perceptive comments.
B Responses generally completed and usually reflected a significant level of understanding achieved through careful though and application. Project work generally completed on time. At times expressed a coherent view. Listened attentively. Awareness of a range of perspectives on a topic and understanding of the views of others.
C A reasonable attempt to complete tasks with responses suggesting satisfactory understanding. Approach to project work inconsistent. Considers the material presented in class. Reluctant to engage in discussion but does so if prompted. At times understood the differing views of others.
D Little evidence of desire to think carefully through issues considered. The sharing of thought and opinions only occurred when comment sought directly. Work of limited quality, often incomplete. Disengaged with ideas presented. Listened according to personal interests and tastes. Participated in some activities. Limited understanding of differing views.
