Aquatic Skills

A Advanced movement skills and sequences with fluency and consistency; strong vaults, somersaults and rings sequences. Advanced ball management skills and spatial awareness; successfully adapted strategies to the environment and opposing players. Comprehensive understanding of rules. Outstanding refined strokes in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke (100 m in less than 1 min.) Can analyse swim strokes performance and identify stroke deficiencies.
B A range of movement skills and sequences with consistency and control. Fluent and consistent ball control skills; range of strategies. Clear understanding of rules. Refined strokes in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke (100 m in less than 1.30 min.). Can analyse swim strokes performance and identify stroke deficiencies.
C Linked movement skills with some consistency and control Controlled movement skills and sequences; basic game strategies. Satisfactory understanding of rules. Workable strokes in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke (100 m in 2 min.) Can identify some stroke deficiencies when analysing performances.
D Controlled movement skills. A range of fundamental ball management skills and locomotion in game play; an awareness of rules. Stroke deficiencies in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke (can swim 100 m) Can identify some stroke deficiencies when analysing performances.
E Limited range of fundamental movement skills. Limited basic skills in ball management (eg kick, catch, throw, hit, control, pass) and locomotion in structured play. Stroke deficiencies in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke (Unable to complete 100 m swim continuously).
