This is the senior-most of 4 string orchestras at Scotch College catering for all violin, viola, cello and double bass players.

Typically this ensemble includes the most advanced players in the school and includes approximately 50 musicians.

Admission is by invitation or requested audition.

Major performances* include:

• Foundation Day Concert
• Autumn Concert
• Summer Proms Concert
• Scotch Strings Concert
• Biennial workshops with PLC

*In addition there will be other performances where such opportunity arises. These may include school assemblies or performances in the wider community.
