Year Five String Ensemble

Rehearsal Time: Day 1 and 3, 12.05 – 12.40pm (JS Period 6)

Venue: Keith Humble Auditorium (KHA)

This orchestra caters for Years 5 students who play the violin, viola, cello and double bass. The ensemble works in conjunction with the JS Music Classroom program and is open to all players learning either within or outside of the school program.

Typically this ensemble includes a wide range of players in the school and includes approximately 15 musicians.

Major performances* and activities include:

• JS Winter Concert
• Scotch Strings Concert
• JS Summer Concert
• Annual JS String Camp

*In addition there will be other performances where such opportunity arises. These may include school assemblies or performances in the wider community.
