Foundation Day Concert

One of the annual highlights is the Foundation Day Concert which was first held at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings upon the schools Diamond Jubilee in 1911. This concert was conducted by Sir George Wood, and involved all the boys united in song. There has been a Foundation Day Concert every year since (except for two years when polio epidemics prevented large gatherings) and this concert is now held at the Melbourne Concert Hall, drawing an audience of 2000.

Due to renovation of the Melbourne Concert Hall the 2010 concert will be held in 'The Plenary Hall', Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf.
