Any parent, with an interest in books, is encouraged to become involved. Why get involved? If you enjoy books, come and talk with like-minded people!

• Book covering groups are a practical help to the Library and also a great way to meet other parents.
• Literature Circles are held once a term and a writer or teacher introduces the sessions. Parents then talk about the different books that they have enjoyed reading.
• On Boys’ debating nights, five times a year, parents are coordinated to help in distributing dinners to over 100 boys and stay on to watch them debate.
• On Family Day a second hand bookstall is organised. Parents are encouraged to bring a bag of books on the morning of Family Day, browse and buy.
• The very popular Text Book Exchange is our major fundraiser. It operates over three days in late November. It requires many volunteers who get the advantage of making an early purchase of Text books.
• Literary Festival. This weeklong event held bi-annually celebrates reading; it includes visiting authors, a literature breakfast and many activities for the boys and their families. At its conclusion a Dinner is organised featuring a celebrated Author as speaker.
• Literary Luncheon. This is held on the alternate year to the Literary Festival and features an invited Author as guest speaker.
