After Parties

After parties are often a cause for concern. All of the above guidelines still apply. Parents should realise that After Parties are not an excuse to play by a different set of rules. It is vital that parents communicate with their teenagers and with other parents, regarding arrangements. They should feel free to negotiate such things as the choice of venue, transport and time of arrival home.

Parents should be aware that After Parties, where the cover charge includes the provision of alcohol, would be considered to be the sale of alcohol. Therefore, it would be illegal for students under 18 to consume alcohol at such a party.
