Corporate counsel honours to Will Irving

The Australian Corporate Lawyers’ Association (ACLA) has named Will Irving (’86) as Australian Corporate Lawyer of the Year.

Will, who is Telstra’s Group General Counsel, received his award for outstanding achievement as in-house counsel, through the excellence he has shown in providing legal services to Telstra, and his strong leadership of the Telstra legal team, both locally and internationally.

Will, who has been with Telstra for nine years, joins previous winners of the prestigious award, including legal counsel from BT Financial, Caltex Australia and Tabcorp in a select group of Australia’s best corporate counsel.

Accepting the award, Will praised the efforts of his team, and recognised the close working relationships and support he and the legal team enjoy across Telstra.
