Service company Spotless has recognised Scotch's firm commitment to food safety training by naming it the leader in delivering food safety training in a school environment.
As a school which strongly believes in providing a safe environment in which to learn, work and socialise, Scotch is very proud to receive this accolade from one of the best known names in the Australian service industry. And Scotch wants to maintain this position of leadership and to build on it in the future.
Over the past few years Scotch has been providing food safety training to staff, students and parents. Recently this has also extended to members of our Old Scotch community hosting events on the campus.
The principle behind this is simple: food safety isn't an issue that can be left to someone else - as members of the Scotch Family we all have a responsibility to ensure our environment is healthy and safe. A safe school can only be achieved through the individual contributions of many people.
In a school community which loves a barbecue, the boys will tell you that they must now borrow the 'food-handling tool box' for their barbecues from the events office. Equipped with items that improve our quality of food handling, the box provides the boys with a high standard of food handling that we hope they will adopt in other activities involving food outside Scotch.
