Congratulations to the following Old Scotch Collegians and members of the Scotch community who received 2006 Queen’s Birthday honours:
Dr Peter Damian Brukner OAM
Peter (a future Scotch parent – 2008) received his award for service to sports medicine, particularly through the Australasian College of Sports Physicians, and as a medical adviser for sporting organisations.

Mr Terrence Arthur Campbell AO
Terry (a Trustee of the Scotch College Foundation, and a past Scotch parent) received his award for service to business and the financial services sector, to the arts, and as a supporter of corporate social responsibility through contributions to community and charitable organisations |

Mr Wayne Smithers Jackson PSM
Wayne (’69) received his award (Public Service Medal) for outstanding public service in the development and implementation of social policy, particularly in relation to recent reform of child support arrangements. |

Mr Roger Andrew Frank King OAM
Roger (’64) received his award for service to the community as a director and instigator of multicultural music events. |

Mr Ian Stanley Knight OAM
Ian (’53 – with a grandson, David Monkhouse, in Year 8) received his award for service to the community of the City of Wyndham, particularly through aged-care services and Rotary International. |
Mr Stuart Picken Purves OAM
Stuart (’62) received his award for service to the arts as a promoter and supporter of visual contemporary artists, and for the development and implementation of a code of professional practice in the commercial galleries sector.
Mr Mark Dattilo Rubbo OAM
Mark (’66) received his award for service to the community through fostering an awareness of Australian literature as a bookseller, literary critic, and promoter and supporter of Australian writers.
Mr Malcolm Henry Taylor OAM
Malcolm (’43, and an Associate Fellow of the Scotch College Foundation) received his award for service to accountancy, and to the community through a range of rural sector, charitable and service organisations.
Mr Geoff Baker OAM
We failed to acknowledge Geoff Baker (Õ38) who was awarded an Order of Australia Medal on Australia Day. Geoff received his award for services to the community. Geoff is a former President, Secretary and life member of the Tarcutta sub-branch of the RSL, member of the Tarcutta Progress Associaten and has been involved with Tidy Towns and recycling in the Hume Highway town.
