Words: Jane Morgan • Bequest Coordinator
There are now over 60 members of the Christina Morrison Circle, and we were very pleased to welcome many of those women at our cocktail party in the James Forbes Academy on 1 March.
CMC Chair Pam Marshall led a tour of the Academy – a building she had become very familiar with in its planning and construction stages, during her time on the Scotch Council from 1992 to 2004.
We are delighted that Jill Edwards, mother of Peter ’87 and Ross ‘94 and widow of Alaster ’64, has joined the CMC committee.
The committee is very keen to encourage further connection between the members of the CMC and Scotch, and is very appreciative of the time taken by many women to fill in our recent questionnaire. The feedback from the questionnaire will enable us to arrange many of the events of interest that respondents suggested.
Proposed events for the remainder of 2007 include lunch on the Mornington Peninsula, theatre and lunch, and a visiting performers’ series in the James Forbes Academy.
If you are interested in any of these events, or would simply like to discuss being involved with the CMC, please do not hesitate to contact any committee member. They are Pam Marshall (5989 6562), Cynthia Richards (9822 3067), Barbara Bruce (9827 0884), Di Senior (9827 1802) and Jill Edwards (9836 2737).
