Scotch diver Cameron Rees (Year 11) won a bronze medal in the under 19 three-metre springboard event in the Australian junior elite diving championships, held during July. Cam also came fourth in the one-metre springboard event.
Cam was eligible for competing in under 16 events in this year’s APS competition, but competed in the open A section and smashed the open APS diving record, scoring 256.05 points. The previous record was 211.25 points, set in 2004.
He currently also holds APS records for one-metre diving in under 16A (set in 2005) and under 15A (set in 2007). GS
