It was a full house on the morning of Friday 18 April for the Scotch Soccer Breakfast organised by the Parent Auxiliary of Scotch Soccer (PASS).
More than 170 people packed the Cardinal Pavilion to hear an inspiring speech by Jack Reilly, a former Socceroo goalkeeper who represented Australia 35 times between 1970 and 1977, including the 1974 World Cup in West Germany. Mr Reilly is also a Director of Football Federation Australia and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004.
Melbourne Victory players Archie Thompson and Grant Brebner attended and delighted boys by signing autographs and posing for photographs.
Guests at the breakfast included Mr David Crawford (Chairman of the Scotch Council), Mr Ian Savage, Senator Rod Kemp, Mr Tony Dunkerley, (President of Football Federation Victoria), Mr Geoff Miles (CEO of Melbourne Victory) and Melbourne Victory Directors, Anthony Di Pietro and Mario Biasin. The Scotch sports department, in particular the soccer management team, was well represented as was the Old Scotch Soccer Club. GS
