The annual Easter Chapel Service of the East Melbourne Glen Chapter was held in the last week of term 1. More than 150 Old Boys, their wives and friends, as well as members of the Alexander Morrison Circle and Christina Morrison Circle enjoyed the service led by Rev Graham Bradbeer in the Littlejohn Memorial Chapel.
A group of Senior School woodwind musicians delighted the gathering with their talented performance, and the congregation sang ‘Ride on! Ride on in Majesty!’ with considerable gusto.
As well as following the address with great interest, the group also enjoyed the tribute given by Rev Bradbeer to the late Dr Bernard Mendel. His vivid memories of Dr Mendel caused smiles as well as a few tears.
Following the service, the Chairman of the East Melbourne Glen Chapter, Dr Hugh Melville ’41 welcomed the group to the Boarders’ Dining Room, and invited them to enjoy hot-cross buns with their morning tea.
