Five senior Scotch students have been awarded Kwong Lee Dow Scholarships

Five senior Scotch students have been awarded Kwong Lee Dow Scholarships for 2008. They are Blake Connell, Benjamin Johnstone and Jack Reynoldson (all in Year 11) and Alex Linossier and Nathan Su (Year 12).

The five Scotch students were among 2,600 applicants to join the program from all over Victoria.

The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program is an academic enrichment program designed to support high-achieving Victorian, South Australian and NSW secondary school students. The program offers numerous opportunities for students to interact with the University of Melbourne and with each other, with substantial benefits for students who subsequently enrol at the University of Melbourne.

The program is named in honour of the eminent scholar, leading educationalist and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, Professor Kwong Lee Dow, AM.
