WORDS: REBECCA MORTIMER – DEVELOPMENT OFFICE
More than 300 grandparents and special friends attended the annual Year 7 grandparents’ mornings on 9 and 11 March.

The mornings began at 10.45, where the boys met their grandparents and friends in Old Scotch Square. From here they accompanied them into the James Forbes Academy and enjoyed a concert performed by Year 7 groups, the Ted Joyner Band and Henri Touzeau Strings. Both performances were of a very high standard, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them.
Following the concert, the boys took their grandparents and friends on a tour of the school grounds, to areas such as the Memorial Hall, the Archives museum, the Language Centre and the Library.
After the tour, grandparents and friends were invited to enjoy a light lunch in the Cardinal Pavilion, overlooking the Yarra River.
Special thanks must go to Music School staff Peter Rickard, Megan Philip and James deRozario, Head of Year 7 Tony Glover, Head of Middle School Pino Cutinelli, School Captain Jack Fowles and Captain of Music Edward Cliff for their help on both days.
