Upgrades to boarding area under way

The School Council has approved two projects as part of the upgrade and renovation work in the boarding area.

The upgrade to the Prep building, between School and McMeckan Houses, provides new dormitory arrangments for more senior boys on the upper level, better prep facilities on the lower level, new sealed ground floor entrances to both houses, and a new facade which presents to the 'villiage green'.

Stage 1 of this project was completed just after the start of term, with Stage 2 due to be completed by June.

Contracts are soon to be let for the development of new backyards for School and McMeckan Houses, providing for low end recreational activity and a landscaped environment. The project should take a couple of months to complete. The Bursar commented most favourably on the co-operation between the boarding houses and the building during the building activities.
