In an unprecedented event for Scotch football, three boys have been chosen to represent Victoria at three different age levels.
Hamish Dick has been chosen to play for the Victorian Metropolitan Under 15 Schoolboys' team in the Australian championships.
Hamish is one of only twenty-six boys from all schools throughout metropolitan Victoria to make the final squad. His selection involved initial selection into a squad of fifty boys followed by a number of training sessions and trial games.
Andrew Ericksen has followed his selection in the All Australian Under 15 team last year by being successful in making the Victorian Metropolitan Under 16 team that has recently played in the National Under 16 Championships in Adelaide.
Andrew is now vying for a position in the Australian Institute of Sport/AFL squad which plays a series of cross rules Test matches against Ireland. The squad will be announced in August and selection is based on performance in the National carnival.
Captain of the 1st XVIII for 2001, Campbell Brown, has become the first Scotch student to be selected in the Victorian Metropolitan Under 18 team since inception of the TAC Cup competition some years ago.
Campbell has had a fine season both with Scotch in the APS competition and with Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup. He is one of only twenty-five boys to make the Victorian team. Campbell is working to the best of his ability in an attempt to be drafted into the AFL.
The Scotch Community was delighted to hear recently that Hamish Dick has been selected in the All Australian Under 15 team and Andrew Ericksen has been selected in the All Australian Under 16 team.

On Sunday 17 June, thirteen Scotch students travelled to Daylesford to compete in the school's section of a six hour Rogaine.
The boys were organized into four teams and met with great success. In addition three staff teams also competed in the general competition.
David Hudson, Chris Penwarden and Andrew Baird won the Boys Year 11-12 section and Ben Phillips, Nick Pejnovic and Stuart Morrison won the Year 9-10 section for the second year.
The aggregate score of our teams saw Scotch win the Neil Phillips Trophy, giving three victories out of the four years the school's competition has been running.
The three boys in the Earle family played football at the MCG on Friday, 3 August. Matthew (Year 11) played for the 1st XVIII; Andrew, Captain of Sport in the Junior School and Peter, Vice Captain of Healey House, both played in the 6A match. The boys' grandfather, no other than FWW Scott ('33), captained the 1st XVIII in '32 and '33.
