Andrew NicholAndrew comes to Scotch from Glen Katherine Primary School having taught there for five years. He has a keen interest in a wide variety of sports and enjoys relaxing by going to the gym, competing in triathlons and playing football and cricket. He is currently coach of the VPSSA Football Team, which will be competing in the Australian Championships later in the year.

Georgina HalpinGeorgina has joined the Junior School Performing Arts Department as the Grade 4-6 drama teacher. Georgina has come to Scotch as a Creative Arts (Drama) Graduate. Due to her particular interest in the development of Arts Education within schools, Georgina is looking forward to combining her passion for both drama and teaching into an invigorating program for students.

Nicholas TuffinNicholas is a welcome addition to our Junior Primary Department. Teaching Year Three this year, Nicholas is in his fourth year of teaching, and he is very excited about the opportunity to work at Scotch. Nicholas has also spent a number of years working with adults and children in the Recreation/Leisure field, before deciding to undertake a career in teaching. He has undertaken the important role of Social Service Coordinator in the Junior School.

Tabytha CogginsTabytha Coggins has joined our Junior School to be one of our Year Two teachers. She has spent the past seven years teaching at Korowa Anglican Girls' School in a variety of year levels ranging from three-year-olds to Year Three. Originally from Adelaide, Tabytha completed a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Teaching at the University of South Australia. She enjoys furthering her learning in a variety of fields and, as such, attends many professional development courses. Her main interest is in the social/emotional development of children. Tabytha has a keen interest in France and visits there whenever possible. She also enjoys exercising and participating in dance classes.

Bron DandieBronwyn Dandie joins Scotch College as Director of Junior primary. She has taught at all levels and previous schools include extended stints at Tintern Girls' Grammar School, Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School and more recently Yarra Valley Grammar School. Since completing her initial Diploma of Teaching qualification Bronwyn has studied part-time to complete her Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, Policy and Administration as well as a Graduate Diploma of Marketing. Bronwyn was very enthusiastic about joining the Scotch staff as her brother, father and uncle are all past students at the college.

Joanna DeanJoanna Dean has joined Scotch following five years of teaching at Knox Grammar School, a private boys school in Sydney, NSW, and a year of teaching in the United States. She completed a Bachelor of Teaching (primary) and a Bachelor of Education (Special Education) in NSW. Joanna has more recently pursued her interest in counselling and has undertaken studies in this area. She has taught Year Two, Year Five, Middle Years and Special Education and is currently teaching Year One this year.

Andrew GrantWe welcome Andrew Grant, a teacher from Eltham College, to the Year Five level. Andrew brings a wealth of experience in Mathematics, SOSE and Sport. He has been Head of Mathematics for a number of years in the Junior School at Eltham. He was president of the JSHAA Maths Special Interest Group and also has coached many sporting teams. Andrew is in charge of the SRC for 2003 and is very keen to implement student initiated programs throughout the Junior School. He is very happy to be working at Scotch College with Liz Wyatt and Alistair Webster as part of the Year Five team.

Lucy JamesLucy James joins the Junior School as our new Prep teacher. She comes to us from Carey Baptist Grammar School where she taught Year 1, in her graduate year. Lucy has a Bachelor of Education from RMIT and is a qualified Primary and Early Childhood Educator. Whilst training, Lucy worked in a Kindergarten and child care centre for four years. We welcome Lucy into the Scotch family and trust that she will enjoy her time at Scotch.

Grant PhillipsGrant Phillips comes to us from Presbyterian Ladies' College where he was a Year Five teacher, Mathematics Co-ordinator, Science Co-ordinator, Outdoor Education Leader and Assistant Head of the Junior School. He has many published works in the curriculum area of science and has presented seminars and workshops for teachers throughout Australia and overseas for the International Schools of Papua New Guinea. Needless to say, his Bachelor of Education was heavily weighted towards the teaching and delivery of science to Junior School children. Grant and his son, Lincoln (Year 8), became Scotch boys together and have both commented on the warm welcome they received from the Scotch community. Grant is looking forward to 2005 when his second son, Harrison, becomes a Year 7 Scotchie.

Jillian MooreJillian comes to Scotch after completing an Integration Aide's Course in 2002, which was followed by a brief stint at Our Holy Redeemer Primary School. This year Jillian is working as an Integration Aide in Year One. Jillian started her career in television with The Don Lane Show before working on other projects with the Packer Organisation and then leaving to start her family. We welcome Jillian to Scotch.
