Old Scotch Bowls Club

An excellent season has been enjoyed by all of our 48 playing members cumulating in a majority of wins. In actual fact, we have played 13 games, winning 9 and losing 3 whilst the match against Old Wesley was abandoned due to wet weather.

The 14 members that took part in the match against West Brighton Club again enjoyed themselves immensely whilst also winning the Scighton Trophy again with a score of 75 shots to 68.

Our Annual Luncheon was held on Friday March 14th with 50 people attending including our 2 Life Members, Keith Wilson and Oxley Jones, together with the President of OSCA Rob Wilson. As well, we had as our guests, Tim Shearer, OSCA Executive Director and his Events Co-ordinator

Monika Matlik. A great day was had by all with the highlight being the attendance of four Bowlers who played in our very 1st game of Bowls on 23rd March 1971, namely Past Presidents George Stroud and Ron Smyth, John Weymouth and Keith Wilson.
