Scotch College

150th Anniversary Limited Edition Print is here!

The Scotch College 150th Anniversary Limited edition Print will be launched at the Old Scotch Collegians' Association Annual Dinner at the historic Melbourne Town Hall on Friday 11 October. The print will then be on display and available at the Scotch College Family Day on Saturday 12 October.

The print features many rare items, documents and pictures from the schools early days right up to and including the 250th year celebrations and only 500 prints are being produced. Each print bears a special stamp identifying the print number and the total number produced together with a certificate of authenticity. The school will register the purchase details on a confidential record.

The Limited Edition print features original signatures of two Governor Generals (Sir Zelman Cowen and Sir Ninian Stephen), three State Premiers (the Hon Jim Bacon, the Hon John Cain and the Hon Jeff Kennett) as well as three Headmasters (Prof Richard Selby-Smith, Mr Philip Roff and Dr Gordon Donaldson) - all who have a close association with Scotch College.

150th Edition Limited Edition The signatures have been signed using special archival quality pigment ink pens to ensure permanence. The paper used will be of a substantial weight and will be acid free and the plates used to produce the print will be prepared by hand. Each print will be accompanied by a Legend Leaflet which is a guide to the content of the print and provides comprehensive details of each and every item featured.

The print measures 670mm x 1090mm and is in landscape format. It will be supplied in a timber frame with a glass front. We are recommending that archival perspex be used if the frame has to travel far - this is available at an additional cost.

You may be able to reserve a special print number of your choice ranging from 1 to 500. These will be distributed on a 'first-come first-served' basis. Fully framed prints will be wrapped and delivered to the Scotch College Development Office for collection by the purchaser.

This print will be a constant reminder of the images that have helped shape Scotch in it's first 150 years and will be a tremendous acquisition for those who have an interest in the next chapter of it's educational journey.
