Jocelyn Pride |
On Friday, 18 February 2005, Ms Jocelyn Pride (Year Six Teacher and Coordinator) was recognised by the NEiTA Foundation with a national excellence in teaching award.
The National Excellence in Teaching Awards Foundation (NEiTA) promotes and encourages excellence in teaching by helping school and local communities identify effective teaching practices. The Foundation also supports the professional development of teachers and the networking of their expertise.
Having received one of 100 State and Territory awards last year, Jocelyn was among 32 Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary teachers from around the country to be recognised at the national level.
In addition to this prestigious award, Jocelyn was one of only 12 recipients of an ASG Professional Development scholarship which she will use to further her interest in the field of teaching Robotics.
Having taught at Scotch for the past eight years, Jocelyn’s award was for ‘Excellence and creative and innovative teaching’. As Year Six Coordinator, she maintains a tight cohesive teaching unit and is responsive to parent demands, the needs of her students and the ideology of Scotch College, while targeting the best characteristics of each of her students.
Congratulations Jocelyn!
