Our exciting ‘Season 2010’promises a fine balance between contemporary and classical chamber music, and between emerging and established performers, showcasing some of the best of Australian and international artists.
Experience the new in contemporary Australian compositions by renowned guitar duo Slava & Leonard Grigoryan. Be the first to hear world premieres by ABC Classic FM Victorian Winner Concordis Chamber Choir and swing to the beloved jazz quartet Tony Gould & Friends.
Hear our emerging virtuosi, pianist Maxwell Foster, winner of the ABC Classic Young Performer in 2008, and violinist Jackie Xiao on a visit from Germany. Out to impress with the most challenging of programs, they will perform Chopin, in a nod to the latter’s 200th anniversary year, Schnittke, Debussy, Sarastate and Brahms.
In a rare treat from Belgrade via London, hear Professor Dorian Leljak, international piano prize winner, pedagogue and jurist, give his renowned interpretation of Rachmaninoff in our Piano Festival Keynote Concert. We are proud to present Dr Leljak as part of ScotchArts 2010.
