Venturers

The Venturer Unit meets at the Scout Hall on a Friday evening between 6.30pm and 9.00pm. The Venturer Unit includes female and male members. The Venturers take the responsibility to organise and plan a very exciting programme each year, with advice and guidance from the Leaders. They participate in activities such as white water rafting, bike rides, cross country skiing, hiking and surfing to name a few.

Several of the members choose to work towards obtaining their Queen's Scout Award.

Some of the boys in the Venturer Unit assist the Scouts on a Thursday afternoon and at Annual Camp. They are known as Assistant Scout Leaders (ASLs).

Membership

Membership is open to boys and girls aged 14 to 17.
