Library

The Senior Library and Information Centre, which is housed in the Centre for Learning within the Lithgow centre, provides a wide range of relevant resources, services and technologies to satisfy the varied curriculum and recreational needs of its users. Students and staff have access to an extensive fiction collection with emphasis on Australian adolescent fiction. Non-fiction and reference materials are in both print and electronic formats. There is also a large periodical collection covering a wide range of academic and general interests. The library is central to implementing, enriching and supporting the teaching and learning program of the college. It is proactive in developing information literate students and supporting an information literate community. It caters for boys working within their class or undertaking individual research. There is also a ‘Reading and Discussion Room’ which has a flexible layout. This space is used by reading groups, ‘Literature Circles’ and lunchtime activities. There are also teaching spaces and a lounge area for recreational reading.
