Great bowls opportunities

WORDS: MR KEITH WEYMOUTH (’44), SECRETARY – OLD SCOTCH BOWLS CLUB

The Old Scotch Bowls Club finished the pre-Christmas portion of the 2011/2012 season with matches against traditional rivals Old Melburnians and MCC at the MCC Swinburne greens on Wednesday 14 December. The season will resume on 18 January with matches against Old Wesley and Old Caulfield at Kew Heights.

The Old Scotch Bowls Club is a social bowling club: it has no greens of its own and does not play in the RVBA pennant competition – it competes in the Old Public Schools Bowls Tournament. Several games per season are played among the club’s own members and other old boy clubs.

Membership is open to all Old Boys, relatives of past and present students, staff and employees of Scotch College, members of the Scotch Family, and friends of the school.

For more information, please contact the club president Manson Russel (’48) on 9809 1054 or the secretary, Keith Weymouth (’44) on 9817 1780, or email kwey@bigpond.com.
