Parklife prominence for Albert Salt

Albert Salt (Year 12) was selected by Radio Station Triple J as the opening act at the 2011 Parklife Music Festival, which rocked the Myer Music Bowl on 24 September.

Albert, a boarder from Hamilton in western Victoria, is a composer who began writing his own music while he was in Year 7. At school, he was a violinist in the Scotch Symphony Orchestra.

Parklife attendees would have been more interested in Albert’s rock compositions than any classical performance, although his creations do include orchestra-based strings, brass and percussive instruments, combined with electronic rock.
