A fist-punching moment

MS KATE IKINGER

A select group of Year 6 students can clearly remember when they found out that their peers and teachers had voted them into 2012 leadership roles. The boys talk of feeling honoured, excited, surprised and happy, one boy describing it as a ‘fist-punching moment’!

The boys discussed their new leadership positions and how they aim to be positive role models for the younger boys, how they are trying to be flexible, accept challenges, try new things and step out of their comfort zone. Each leader has a special personal goal – whether it be to lead their House to success, win the Cockhouse trophy, or, as one boy said, ‘To give something back’. The Junior School wishes the 2012 leaders success in their new roles.
